About This Role:

The Permit Runner will be responsible for timely retrieval of permits at the county and city level. The Permit Runner accomplishes this by working closely with the project teams and city and county agencies, to proactively identify requirements and potential roadblocks, and facilitate resolutions so projects remain on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout the area to deliver and collect permit documents

  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding permit status and approvals

  • Communicate with city/county officials to obtain permit approvals

  • Work constructively and effectively with various jurisdictions

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies

  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record according to company policy

  • Fluent proficiency in Spanish preferred, but not required

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Ability to interact in a courteous and professional manner

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday

  • 7:30 am start time

  • Overtime may be required based on business needs approved by management

  • Work alone or as part of a team installing servicing residential roof mounted solar systems
  • Represent LGCY Power in a professional and respectful manner
  • Moderate system electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair systems due to damage by weather or manufacturer’s defects
  • Meet with local building inspectors and obtain passed inspection results
  • Inspect onsite issues as requested
  • Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all interactions
  • Learn AHJ/Utility/NEC requirements and guidelines
