Position Summary: 

Under the general direction of the Director of Field Operations, the Area Director will oversee and manage each branch throughout the designated region that produces roughly 5.0 Megawatts on a monthly basis. A successful Area Director will foster effective relationships between local sales teams and local branch leadership to maximize business efficiency at each location. This position will develop, communicate, and execute operational plans to meet strategic initiatives set by operational leadership. LGCY Power will rely on the experience of this mid-senior level position to assist in developing a culture of safety, responsibility, and quality service in our pursuit of setting the industry standard for solar installation. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Represent LGCY Power in a professional and respectful manner by creating a high-quality experience through all interactions 

  • Work closely with operational leadership to develop and execute a strategic plan for growth, market focus, estimating, relationship management, and people development 

  • Provide direction on key sales opportunities and areas for targeted market sales points 

  • Offer strategic direction and guidance to field operations 

  • Provide project management oversight and hold branch leadership accountable for meeting targets and KPI milestones 

  • Communicate market changes with appropriate stakeholders  

  • Create and maintain meaningful relationships with sales teams and other stakeholders 

  • Ensure timely and quality installs per market 

  • Serve as budget approver for branch-level expenses including utilities, permits, etc.  

  • Remain current with local and national codes and/or regulations to ensure LGCY practices align accordingly 

  • All other duties as assigned by operational leadership 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the solar industry is required 

  • Experience leading 20 or more people 

  • Willing to travel in-state and/or out-of-state up to 50% of the time 

  • Must demonstrate expert understanding of residential solar construction 

  • Proven track record of process improvement (On-site and Operational Processes) 

  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists 

  • Demonstrate a capability to defuse escalated situations 

  • Ability to interpret plan sets 

  • Excellent follow through and ability to meeting deadlines 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general PC operation 

  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record according to company policy 

  • Reliable transportation 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required 

Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination or education and or experience 

  • 5+ years of solar experience 

  • Experience managing employees in different geographic locations 

  • Electrical licenses 

  • OSHA 10 

  • NABCEP

  • Ability to work in a regular office environment  

  • Ability to withstand heights, climb ladders and be on roofs 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5PM. Occasionally, this position requires long hours. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings. In the Sr. Installer role, you will be working as a team to install residential solar systems in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities:

  • Help oversee the installation process and ensure it exceeds company standards

In the District Manager role, you will be responsible for the safety of LGCY Power employees and management of the installation process for the jobs in the region to ensure compliance with the company’s standard operating procedures. This position is tasked with overseeing each department at the branch level– from permitting, design, field operations, and more, to ensure we meet or exceed performance expectations within the market. This role works closely with operational leadership as well as sales leadership to foster meaningful relationships that provide a successful and strategic competitive advantage. Responsibilities:

  • Represent LGCY Power in a professional and respectful manner by creating a high-quality experience through all interactions
  • Promote a culture of safety through continued training and conducting safety and efficiency check-ins with all safety-sensitive employees
  • Leads the development of the project schedule with the Regional Operations Manager and ensures the team on-site is properly executing the plan in adherence to LGCY quality and safety standards
  • Provide direction on key sales opportunities and areas for targeted market sales points
  • Manage day to day operations for project acceptance, installation, inspection, and homeowner satisfaction
  • Reconcile all existing branch level expenses including utilities, permits, etc.
  • Oversee permitting, utility, and HOA approvals on residential rooftop solar projects
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and communicate any staffing needs or improvements
  • Communicate changes in market including utility, permitting, and organizational changes as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with various AHJ and utility companies as required by market
  • Create and maintain meaningful relationships with sales teams and other stakeholders
  • Monitor warehouse material and assist procurement with fleet needs
  • Actively motivate all members of the team throughout the solar project lifecycle
  • Ensure timely installs per market
  • Implement pricing strategies to optimize profitability
  • Review sales data against finance requirements
  • All other duties as assigned by Operations Leadership

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the solar industry is required
  • 3+ years of management experience and proven ability to successfully lead a team
  • Demonstrate a capability to defuse escalated situations
  • Must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of residential solar construction, including roofing, main panel upgrades, and ground mounts
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to interpret plan sets

Position Overview:

In the Electrician role, you will be working with the installation team in installing electrical service equipment, wiring, and electrical equipment for residential solar systems. We will rely on the experience of the Electrician to assist with inspecting electrical components, ensuring that the systems meet all electrical and building codes, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the work performed is compliant with quality standards as well as NEC articles and local codes
  • Adhere to basic OSHA safety standards
  • Be an essential team member of a four-person installation crew leading all parts of the electrical installation
  • Display the ability to install conduit and conductors in an efficient and aesthetic manner
  • Test and diagnose electrical issues associated with the system
  • Communicate effectively with customers, inspectors, and team members
  • Be capable of working on and around various ladders
  • Produce quality, code compliant installations in all weather conditions
  • Install, test, and diagnose grid tied, residential battery backup systems
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of prior electrical experience
